Valley Credit Union's 2nd Annual Diaper Drive for Family Building Blocks

Got diapers? Valley Credit Union, in conjunction with business partner Green Acres Landscape is proud to announce their 2nd annual “Diaper Drive” to benefit Family Building Blocks and the families they assist in our local community.

Throughout December, Valley and Green Acres will gladly accept donations of new, unopened diapers, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and cash or checks donations on behalf of Family Building Blocks. Jean Wheat-Palm, President and CEO of Valley Credit Union, is thrilled to be involved again this year. “Family Building Blocks provides critical services to the most vulnerable children and families in Marion and Polk counties. As always, we are committed to finding ways to support their efforts.” Rich Kansky, President of Green Acres Landscape, concurs. “Anyone that has spent any time with the folks at Family Building Blocks knows how dedicated they are to creating safe environments and better tomorrows for the children and families they serve. We hope this drive helps make that mission a little bit easier.”

Through their local facilities, Family Building Blocks helps hundreds of babies and toddlers each year, which means a lot of diapers – over 30,000 a year! In addition, many struggling local families cannot afford to purchase essential household products like cleaning supplies (dish soap, all-purpose cleaners, etc.) and hygiene products (soap, toilet paper, etc.). Your donations of diapers, cleaning supplies and hygiene items will ensure these families have essential items this holiday season.

Family Building Blocks is a nonprofit organization that works to break the intergenerational cycle of child abuse and neglect by providing services for high-risk families that have children six weeks to five years old.
