Dayna Collins, a mixed media artist from Salem, has created a series of vibrant, textural pieces using oil and cold wax to create layers of luminosity and interesting intersections of lines. Keeping with the theme of being slightly off kilter, her pieces give a wonky nod to landscapes, but with a twist. Deborah Unger makes wooden carved figures using paint and cloth to create introspective images, often with an underlying sense of unease or melancholy. Included in these new works are some bas reliefs along with some unusual creatures.
