May 31st at 1:30 pm - Marion County is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Gallon House Bridge. It is the last covered bridge, as well as the oldest bridge, in Marion County. Ribbon cutting ceremony with the Marion County Board of Commissioners and installation of new signs and informational kiosk. From Silverton: travel Wilco Hwy (Hwy 214) toward Mt. Angel. At the Flashing light at Hobart Rd. turn left. Follow Hobart Rd. to Gallon House Rd. and turn right. Gallon House road runs parallel to Hwy 214 between Hobart Rd. and Downs Rd.
