Car Show at The Oregon Garden

Car lovers will want to make a detour to The Oregon Garden on Sunday, August 26 from 10 am to 4 pm, when the garden will share its 80 acres of botanical wonders with valuable classic and custom automobiles from private collectors throughout the Northwest. The 6th annual Car Show at The Oregon Garden is presented by ATRIO Health Plans, and will feature displays, live music, beer and food booths and a 50/50 raffle.

Admission to the event is $11 for adults, $9 for seniors ages 60+, $8 for students ages 12 to 17, $5 for children ages 5 to 11, and free to children ages 4 and under. Admission includes entry to The Oregon Garden; the event is free for Oregon Garden members.

Exhibited entirely outdoors, the automobiles will greet visitors as they meander along the garden paths. Automobile owners will be on hand to answer questions while guests enjoy music, beer and food. Exhibitors will be honored with awards including best vehicle of each decade and Best in Show as voted on by spectators. Awards will be presented at 3:30 pm in the Silverton Market Garden.

The lineup of cars will appeal to fans from all eras; cars registered to date include a 1928 Ford Phaeton, a 1929 Ford Roadster, a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr Convertible, and 1957 Chevy Bel Air Sport Coupe, and a 1970 Chevy Nova.

Oldies 106.7 FM will be onsite with music from Noon to 2 pm, and the classic rock and roll band JT & The Tourists will play from 2 to 3:30 pm. Other activities during the event include a 50/50 raffle where a lucky participant will win half the kitty.

The Oregon Garden Resort is offering a Car Show Overnight Package for guests; $159 includes one night of accommodations, garden admission with tickets to the Oregon Garden Car Show, food vouchers at the Car Show and a full American buffet breakfast.
