Afternoon at the Ranch: This free workshop is the door opener for experiencing the alpaca industry and daily routine care on our alpaca ranch. Depending on the needs, you will have hands on opportunities in nail trimming, top knot clean up, deworming, vaccinations, wound care, spit offs, breeding and halter training. Tour the barn,fencing and pastures. Bill is an AOBA Fleece & Performance Judge. He will walk you thru the different qualities of fiber and how best to breed for finer fiber. We will have fleece samples open for instruction. We will demonstrate yarn dyeing as well. Workshop is from 1-4 pm. Call ahead to reserve your space. 503-407-3699
