Rooted in Food presents the first annual Small Farm Tour. Families in the Willamette Valley are invited to spend the day touring farm country. The self-guided tour will consist of four farms in the Silverton area featuring, among other things, hazelnuts, wild rice, goats, dairy cows, and chickens. The event will be held on September 6th, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person (children 10 and under are free) and can be purchased online at www.rootedinfood.org or at the Silverton Farmer's Market on the corner Fiske and Main beginning August 23rd. A program featuring descriptions of each farm and a map will be presented to each ticket holder on the day of the tour at the market.
