JOIN US - Wednesdays, July 5 - August 22nd 10am - 12pm at The Oregon Gardens, Education Building.
Class members will receive free admission to The Gardens during JMG program activities.
REGISTER - A $35.00 4-H fee will be collected the first day of class. This program is First Come, First
Serve. To register, have a parent/guardian email kelly.noack@oregonstate.edu by June 30th at 3:30pm.
A follow-up email will include instructions for program participation. JMG is limited to a 30 student
classroom. Feel free to contact us for additional questions or concerns regarding youth
accommodations or needs.
WHAT? - Designed for youth grades 4 through 6 offering fun, hands-on activities at The Oregon
Gardens. Youth will be able to learn how to grow, harvest, and cook their own produce, plus complete
service learning activities for the community.
WHY?- Do you love being outside? Would you like to start your own garden? This is the club for YOU!
During this series we will learn about insects, soil, healthy eating, basic cooking survival skills, and
MORE! Students who complete this course will earn a Junior Master Gardener certificate. This course
involves various science, technology, engineering, arts, and math projects! All activities connect to the
Next Generation Science Standards. Visit the JMGKIDS.US website for example activities.
Snacks, supplies, 4-H liability insurance and JMG handbooks are provided at no additional cost.
