The Gingerbread houses will be displayed from Thanksgiving through New Years in the Gordon House living room for all our guests to see.
There are four age categories: Children (9 and under), Juniors (10-13), Young Adults (14-18), Adults, and Professionals. Groups are determined by the age of the youngest.
Houses must be mostly comprised of edible materials. Gingerbread is not required. They may have a maximum of six inedible pieces for decoration, but those pieces may not function as support beams for the house. Houses must fit within a 15" X 15" square and on a platform.
Entry fee is $1 per house for youth or $5 for adults. Prizes will be awarded including People's Choice Award and Critics' Choice Award.
The Gingerbread House Exhibition will open to the public on November 25. The Gingerbread Construction Zone weekends in the kitchen lets everyone try to create a house.
