Lunaria Gallery presents a collaborative and individual exhibit of current work by 3 Lunaria artists: Pamela Edwards, Linda Jacobson, and Lea Gordinier. These artists created 2 and 3D art for this show entitled Bits and Pieces. In the loft, the exhibit, Painting My Oregon, features a collection of paintings by Becky Hesedahl, Oregon painter and teacher. Her exhibit showcases images of Oregon rendered in watercolor and other water based mediums. Both shows will be on display June 5 - July 1, 2019, during regular business hours and at the First Friday artists' reception June 7, from 7-9 pm.
Bits and Pieces is an exhibit of work by Pamela Edwards, Linda Jacobson, and Lea Gordinier. All three women are contributing artists at Lunaria Gallery. Glass Mosaic Artist, Pamela Edwards and Textile Mosaic Artist, Linda Jacobson are both award-winning artists who use bits and pieces of fabric, thread, beads, stained glass, stones, ephemera, etc. within their respective mediums. Complimenting this exhibit is the addition of Lea Gordinier’s fanciful clay sculptures, also composed of bits and pieces of clay, fabric, and feathers. Each artist has created an eclectic assortment of work; all expressing a variety of themes and aspects of life with whimsy and finely honed craftsmanship.
In the Loft, Painting My Oregon, celebrates Oregon, the home Painter Becki Hesedahl loves. Her luminous paintings capture her favorite subject: intimate landscapes, close-ups of nature. In her work, the intimate landscape becomes more than a portrait of a plant; they are transformed into a microcosm of the world. As an artist based in Salem, Becki is involved in Artists In Action, and is a member of both the Watercolor Society of Oregon and the Northwest Watercolor Society. She teaches painting at the Art Department in Salem and is a member of the River Gallery in Independence, Oregon.
