Karen Maier, a photographer from Bend, will be guiding participants through an introduction to macro photography, how to use equipment to better your shots, how to create a strong composition, image focusing techniques, and the best way to use lighting to your advantage. The workshop includes time to wander the garden for photos and culminates with a class photo-sharing session. Karen is experienced in taking macro-shots with equipment as simple as a camera phone and as advanced as your D-SLR. Everyone is encouraged to come learn how to use their own equipment to take the best shots! There will be a 30-minute break for meal and participants may either bring a sack lunch or have their meal provided for a $10 extra fee. Reservations required for provided meals. Equipment Required: Camera- Anything that takes pictures! (Remember to charge it and bring extra batteries!) Empty Memory Card- Makes photos easier to find during classroom photo sharing!
