Come join us at The Oregon Garden for a day of garden mosaic projects! Take home either a small sun catcher in the morning, a more advanced bird feeder in the afternoon, or master your skills and take home both! Our sun catcher workshop is safe for all ages and features an abstract design created with tumbled glass pieces. The bird feeder project delves into the concepts of design making, glass cutting, composition and the incorporation of fused glass accents. Our workshop is led by Mark Brody, Portland-based mosaic artist who shares his passion through teaching mosaic in schools and art centers, as well as his book Mosaic Garden Projects. He has a fine arts degree in sculpture, a certificate in teaching, and is a proud member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA).
